BULLET TO PIERCE ARMOUR
KEIL ENGINEER’S INVENTION. VELOCITY ABOUT DOUBLED. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright Rec. 10.30 p.m. Berlin, Jan. 13. Herr Gerlich, an engineer at Keil, has invented a rifle bullet which, it is claimed, is capable of holing armour plate half an inch thick. This is achieved through practically doubling the velocity of the bullet.
