’ A formal verdict that he died from injuries received through being knocked down by a motor-car driven by Clarence O’Bree Evans was returned by the coroner, Mr. McNeil, S.M., at an inquest to-day on Francis James McKavanaugh, aged 52. McKavanaugh was standing on the edge of the footpath in Cuba Street talking to a companion when, a car mounted the kerb and knocked him down.
