The men’s singles title was won by R. A. Court (Hawke’s Bay), a former British junior champion. Results are:— Men’s singles:—Semi-finals: Court (Hastings) beat Bartleet (Auckland) 6—3, 6—2; R. McL. Ferkins (Wellington) beat’ Robinson (Auckland) 3—6, B—6, o—l. Final: Court beat Ferkins 2—6, o—o,' 7—5, 6“4. t Ladies’ singles:—Semi-final: Miss Purcell (Wanganui) beat Miss Rutherford (Feilding) 6—4, 2—6, 6—l. Final: Miss Whyte (Wellington) beat Miss Purcell 3—6, 7 —5, B—6.8 —6. Ladies’ doubles: —Semi-finals: Misses Whyte and Todd (Wellington) beat Misses Astle and Cummcrfield (Palmerston) 6—3, 7 5 j Mrs. Beattie and Miss Rutherford beat ’Misses Purcell and Howell (Hawke's Bay) 6—l, 6—3. Final: Misses Whyte and Todd beat Mrs. Beattie and Miss Cummerfield 6—3, 6—4. Mixed doubles:—Semi-final: Boddy and Miss Cummerfield (Feilding) beat Bartleet (Auckland) and Miss Cameron (Masterton) 7—5, 6—4. Men’s doubles: —Final: 'Bartleet and Robinson (Auckland) beat Lampe and McFarlane (Wanganui) 6—l, 6-t-l, 6—B.
