CABINET RESHUFFLE DELAY

MR. JONES TO RESIGN IN NEW YEAR.

COMPLETION OF DETAIL WORK.

By Telegraph.—Press Association.

Wellington; Last Night. The Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. D. Jones, who was defeated in the Mid-Canter-bury electorate at the general election, will not resign his portfolio until he returns from his home after the holidays. Mr. Jones is completing certain detail work which he began before the election. The delay will mean that the Cabinet reshuffle will not be undertaken until early in the year. The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes) states the question of Mr. Jones’ successor in the Cabinet has not yet been considered.
