JXJRSUANT to Section 13 of "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” I 'HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that at a Poll of the Ratepayers of part of the South Taranaki Elec-tric-power District (defined by a Resolution' of the Board on the 21st day of August, 1931, and described in a Notice published in the Hawera Star newspaper in pursuance of Subsection 3 (d) of Section 3 of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926” on the Ist day of October, 1931, and in the Loan Proposal) taken on the 17th day of December, 1931, on the proposal of the South Taranaki Electric-power Board to borrow the sum of £40,000 for a term of 26 years and making provision for a Sinking Fund of £2 per centum per annum for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrio energy for the benefit of the said defined area and for such purpose to do all or any of such things as the Board is empowered to do by "The Electric-power Boards Act, 1925,” and its amendments, AND IN PARTICULAR but without limiting in any way any of the aforesaid powers, to provide, erect, construct, and improve in the said defined area a system of eleotrio distribution and reticulation and additions and extensions to the Board’s present system of electric distribution and reticulation, and to purchase general equipment, apparatus, appliances, plant, land and easements, and to erect buildings and offices within or without the said defined area, and to make provision for financial assistance to consumers, and for trading purposes as provided by the said Act, and, in pursuance of “The Local Legislation Act, 1981,” Section 31, to repay to credit of Bower Fund moneys thereby authorised to be repaid in respect of advances for payment of the cost of an extension line to Batea. The number of votes recorded FOR the Proposal was 174 The- number of Votes recorded .AGAINST the Proposal was 92 There were 18 informal votes. I therefore declare that the proposal was CARRIED.
