TRIP TO BELL BLOCK BEACH. BROGRAMLME Of 7 SPORTS EVENTS. The Taranaki, Alpine Club’s series of excursions with continued, during the week-end, when a party tramped to Bell Block beach with Mr. R. D., Sola aa leader. The six-mile trip was completed in an hour and a half. . A programme of sports was carried out after swimming and lunch, between teams captained by R. Allan and P. Wildman. Results were:—Ball games: Wildman’s team 3 wins, Allan’s team 1. Novelty relay race: Allan’s team. Centipede race, Allan’s team. Running relay: Allan’s team. Three-legged race; Miss H. McCauley and R. D. Sole. 1 . .■ Standing jump, ladies: Miss I. Christoffel; men, R. Allan. Running jump, ladies: Miss I. Ohristoffel: men. R. Allan. Hop, step and jump, ladies: Miss I. Christoff el; men, R. D. Sole. Wheelbarrow race: Miss H. McCauley and R. D. Sole. The first leap-year trip will be to Waipuku quarries.
