SOUTH AFRICAN TOUR
NO ADVICE IN NEW ZEALAND. THREE MATCHES—ONE TEST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. The New Zealand Cricket Council has received no cable or other advice confirming the cable message which states that the South Africans may visit New Zealand. It is assumed the message is correct. Three matches will be played —at Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, of which the second, at Wellington, will be a test. ■ It is stated that a guarantee of £l2OO, which will be exclusive of travelling and hotel expenses, will leave no profit on the tour, but the official view is that the potential loss will be offset by the stimulus given to New Zealand cricket.
