Timaru teachers who are in permanent positions have established a fund to help some oi their fellow teachers who are out of work. Several teachers without jobs have been given some employment, quite unofficially, in some of the schools, some assisting with the class work and others with clerical work such aS marking up the rolls. These teachers are paid out of the fund that the permanently employed teachers have established.
