son (s) 13 v. Clark, Wilkinson, Glengarry, Tito (s) 28. The annual garden fete held under the auspices of the Kaponga Methodist Church took place at the parsonage grounds on Thursday in fine weather. There was a good attendance and the side-shows and stalls were well supported. There were also competitions. The fete was opened by the Rev. B. Dudley, Manaia, who was visiting Kaponga.. In the evening the Kaponga Municipal Band played at the fete and a mock court was conducted, Mr. R. G. Hook being the judge. ’. . Mr Jim Harper, who is still receivm o treatment at the Hawera hospital, was in Kaponga on Monday. He is much improved in health, but will not return homo for a week or two. Mr. Dam Malone is in the Kaponga hospital.
