OLD BOYS CRICKET CLUB BALL.
Red, blue, black and gold was the colour scheme in the decorations for the Hawera Old Boys Cricket Club’s ball on Tuesday night. Greenery and ferns were tastefully arranged round the walls and on the stage. Messrs. L. V. Walker and J. Mathieson were masters of ceremonies, and supper extras were supplied by Messrs. W. Barleyman and P. McGhie (Auckland). 'Wills’ orchestra played an enjoyable programme of dance music. The committee comprised Messrs. J • Mathieson, J. Beauchamp, R. Morrissey, P. Hayes, C. Dowdle, R. Lendrum, R. Jordan and M. Gray. Messrs. J. Herbert and L. Walker attended to the secretarial duties. The supper arrangements were in the hands of a committee of ladies comprising Mesdames T. C. Hobbs, C. Old, and J. Mathieson, assisted by Misses G. Sage, K. Brown, J. Catchpole, M. Nicholas, M. .Campbell, M. Brown and S. Evans. Some of those present were: T. C. Hobbs, C. Old, J.
