After two detectives had made a. preliminary inspection a squad of detectives raided the basement of a house in Grey s Avenue on Saturday night and ed 15 men, mostly Europeans. To-day the magistrate, Mr. F. K. Hunt, sent six to gaol for a month, it being proved that they had previous convictions. A Chinese, aged over 70. who sublet thqbasement, was fined £2O for keeping a common gaming house. t Police witnesses said that fantan and oakapoo were being played. <
