The Tees is scheduled to load.at Dunedin to-day for New Plymouth, where she is due on Monday, via Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington. From New Plymouth the vessel will proceed to Dargaville. (Hooker Bros.) The Opihi is due to load at Dunedin to-day for New Plymouth, via the usual ports. (U.S.S. Co.) PORT FAIRY LEAVES LONDON. Collett and Co. advise that the Commonwealth and Dominion Line vessel Port Fairy left London on September 18 for New Zealand ports, via Panama. The vessel will make her first call at Suva and will then discharge at. Port Chalmers, Timaru, Lyttelton and New Plymouth. She is due at New Plymouth on November 11. KIWITEA TO RESUME. The Kiwitea, which has been laid up at Auckland since September 11, is to be recommissioned. The vessel is scheduled to sail on Thursday for Newcastle to load for New Plymouth, Wellington and Auckland In that order. The vessel will load at Newcastle about October 2. KAREPO FROM AUSTRALIA. The Union Company advises that the Karepo, from Adelaide and Edithburg, will leave Melbourne on September 25 for New Zealand ports. The vessel is due at New Plymouth on October 4 and will later proceed to Auckland, Portland and Wellington. PORT ALMA REPORTS. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor-ship Port Alma, en route from New York and Tampico, Mexico, has reported by wireless that she will arrive at Auckland at 10 to-night. The vessel has general cargo from New York and asphalt from Tampico. She will unload 2500 tons at Auckland and the remainder at Gisborue, Wellington, New Plymouth, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. She is due at New Plymouth on October 5. MATAKANA CLEARS COLON. In continuation of' her voyage from Wellington to London and West Coast ports of Britain the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Matakana cleared Colon last Tuesday evening. She was despatched from Wellington on August 26. The vessel carries 16,000 freight carcases of meat and 2570 crates of cheese loaded at New Plymouth early in August. AMERICAN SHIPPING. — The United States Shipping Board recently appealed to national shipping interests to form a pool of £700,000 for the assistance of the United States Lines, a company which is in difficulties owing to the general depression. The<i project is reported to have fallen through, and the latest suggestion is that the combined International Mercantile Marine and Roosevelt interests should take over control. It is understood that Mr. P. A. S. Franklin, president of the 1.M.M., has ma’de a definite offer for the U.S. Lines. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS.
