RETIRING FIREMAN FAREWELLED A farewell presentation was held last ■week at the Inglewood volunteer fire brigade station to Fireman J. Larnier. who has resigned owing to his leaving the district. Superintendent Crossman, in presenting Mr. Larmor with a cigarette case, said he hoped Mr. Larmar would still take an interest in fire h*gade work. He would take with him
the best wishes of every member of the brigade. Mr. Banner suitably replied. Ten tables were occupied at the band euchre party on Monday evening with the following results: Airs. J. Schrider 1, Alias A. Huston 2, Mr. VV. M. Spurdie 1, Mr. F. Scott 2. The junior branch of the Women’s Division held their monthly meeting on Saturday afternoon when Miss M. Corney presided over an attendance of 15. Six new members were enrolled. Arrangements were made for a d’oyley competition, to be judged in October. Mrs. Adame has consented to train tfe» girls arid parts were allotted for two one-act plays.
