FRANKLEIGH PARK INTERESTS

PROGRESSIVE ASSOCIATION. MEMBERS’ ANNUAL MEETING. The nineteenth annual meeting ot the Frankleigh Park Progressive Association was held recently, when there was a good attendance of members. Mr. H. Boswell presided. Ths president, Mr. J. Spindler, stated in his annual report that considerable improvements, which were very much appreciated by residents of the district, had been carried out during the year. These included the widening and cutting off of corners on Doralto and Bush Roads, metalling and tar-sealing of the portion of Doralto Road from Smith Street- to the bridge, main roads dressed with tar and sand, and bad portions widened with asphalt. The work on Frankley Road hill was nearing completion, and when complete would remove a very dangerous corner. The New Plymouth Borough Council and Taranaki County Council were thanked, for improvement works carried out by them in the district. The report was adopted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President, Mr. A. 8. Allen; vice-president, Mr. G. W. Kirk; honorary secretary, Mr. W. A. Sedgwick; executive committee, Messrs. A. S. Allen, G. W. Kirk, W. A. Sedgwick, H. Boswell and N. Allen.
