AVRO PLANE HITS SANDHILL
MINOR DAMAGE AT WANGANUI. ENGINE DIES OVER AIRPORT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wanganui, Last Night. . Flattening out after an attempt to regain flying speed when the engine died over the Wanganui airport on Saturday aftern a, an Avro machine piloted by Mr. Douglas Seabourne hit a sandhill and damaged the fuselage, the lower wings and the under-carriage. Seabourne, who w„as strapped in the rear cockpit, was able to scramble from the machine with only cuts about the face and bruises. The plane wan owned by Mr. F. C. Norton, Wanganui. •
