TREE-FELLING AT CAMP RESERVE. Tho controversy regarding the felling of trees at the Camp Reserve as requested by the cycle and athletic club at the Domain Board’s last meeting, has been exercising the minds of other sports bodies which use the ground in the vicinity. On Thursday night the Waitara Bowling Club held a general meeting to discuss the question. It was decided to recommend to the board that only 20 trees from the grandstand to Cameron Street should be felled at present. Waitara exhibitors were very successful at the St. Andrew’s flower show at Inglewood on Thursday. Mrs. Antunoyic won the challenge cup for the champion bloom, with Miss J. Paulger (Tikorangi) runner-up. Mrs. Antunovic also won the points prize for narcissi, Mrs. P. J. Allen being tho runner-up. Mrs. C. Kettle, who was very successful at Waitara, won many prizes. Mrs. M. Jones won the points prize for cut blooms, and Miss M. Allen won tho points prize in the decorative section. An ingleside given by tho New Plymouth Caledonian Society in conjunction with the rowing club was held in the Clifton Hall on Thursday and proved a great success. The receipts, were, about £l9-
