NO WORK FOR VISITORS.

Hastings, Aug. 26. The following statement, was handed to the Press Association by the Mayor, Mr. Roach’: “The unemployed position is so acute ia Hastings at the present time that I strongly" urge workers from other places not to come here in the hope of obtaining employment. Workmen skilled or unskilled will be unable to find work in Hastings,, and we have at present over BGO on our unemployed list, tho largest percentage so far as I can ascertain of any town in the Dominion.”
