PRIME MINISTER OPTIMISTIC. INCREASED IMPORTS EXPECTED. By Telegraph.—-Press Association. Wellington, Aug. 20. Questioned this morning regarding the prospects of the estimates of Customs revenue being realised, Mr. Forbes said that, as had. already been announced, there had been a drop in the -first three months’ figures, but -all the conditions had been' taken into account when the estimates were made and there wars no reason to fear that the falling off would continue. It was felt that as stocks must be getting low there would have to be an increase in imports shortly.
