AMANULLAH RAISES MONEY BARGAINS AT GENEVA. London, Aug. 17. j With his pockets bulging with precious and carrying a camera-case filled with'sapphires and rubies, ex-King Amanufiah, of Afghanistan, who is now living in a aix-roomed palace on the shore of Lake Geneva, walked into a jeweller’s shop and fished out a huge diamond. The King took the precaution to convert his fortune into jewels before his abdication from the throne of Afghanistan in 1929. ‘What is the value of this stone?’' he asked, echoing a question asked by many Royal exiles in times of stress. “Three thousand pounds, but if it were flawless it would be worth £20,000/' replied the jeweller. The former King fumbled in his pockets and said: “I am afraid I left it at home.
