LONDON MARKETS QUIET. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated August 22, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London: —- Tallow— Market quiet. Very little demand either on spot or for shipment, and values nominally unchanged. Hemp.—Manila market inactive and prices lower. “K” grade for July-Sep-tember shipment sold down, to £l4 15s, and for shipment in August-October £l5. Sisal: Market quiet and easier. No. 1 grade., fair average quality for shipment in' July-September sold down to £l3, for August-October shipment £l3 2s 6d. Good marks done at 2s 6d more. New Zealand: No interest shown. Nominal values for August-Oc-tober' shipment. Highpoints £l9, fair £l7 10s, common £l6 10s, rejected £l5 10b. Tow, No. 2 grade £l3 15s, No. 3 grade £l2 15s. No first-hand sales reported. .
