SHIP’S FIREMEN PUNISHED.
ASSAULT AND CONVERSION.

As the result of a fracas on the waterfront last evening, when a constable attempted to arrest- two ship’s firemen for conversion of bicycles, George Murray Rayner and Janies Stanley Wilson, in the Police Court to-day, -were each sentenced to one month’s imprisonment for assault on a constable, and filled £5 each for converting the bicycles, A third fireman, Joseph Thomas, was fined £5 for inciting his companions to resist arrest.
