The Union Company advises that the Federal-Line vessel Kent is scheduled to load at New Plymouth'on October 1. The vessel’s New Plymouth loading will consist of 14,000 freight earcases of meat for west coast of England ports, 5000 boxes of bntter and 3500 crates of cheese for London and west coast of England ports. ■ 11 '■ PORT ALMA’S LOADING. ’

Collett and Co. advise that after the Commonwealth and Dominion Line vessel Port Alma has discharged her New York and 1 Tampico cargo at New Plymouth on September 17 she will proceed to southern ports to complete discharge and commence loading. The vessel is scheduled to arrive at New Plymouth again on October 8 from Wanganui, when she will lift 8000 freight carcases of meat, 12,000 boxes of butter and 5500 crates of cheese. From New Plymouth the vessel will proceed to Auckland, from which port she will leave for England. NEWCASTLE COAL SHIPMENTS. The quantity of coal, including bunkers, shipped at Newcastle during the week ended August 7 for places beyond the State was 28,638 tons, of which 930 tons represented overseas bunkers.
