FEILDING LIVE STOCK SALE. FAT WETHERS AND EWES FIRMER. , Feilding, July 31. Fat wethers and ewes advanced Is to Is 6d per head at the stock sale to-day, when there was a smaller yarding. Fat lambs showed no advance on last week’s rates. The freezing companies and butchers operated freely, and .vendors showed a firmer front to the market. The grown sheep generally were of good quality. The store pens were not as well filled as usual, and the market proved quiet, especially .for breeding ewes, which have not maintained the ewe fair values. Dairy cattle were offered in large numbers —over 300 head. The market showed that dairy farmers are purchasing with discrimination, and not paying fancy prices. Good heifers met a fair demand. A line of fat bullocks offered brought only fair prices. Fat lambs. —Primes! offered, 15s 4d and 15s sd; good, 14s lOd; medium, 13s 6d to 13s 9d; fair, 9s '3d to 10s 7d; fat twotooth s, 10s rid.
