MITIGATION OF DEPRESSION.
By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. London, July 30.
The Sun-Herald announces that the Canadian Prime Minister is expected shortly to call a conference to reestablish the silver monetary unit as a means of mitigating the world depression. It is learnt that the proposal is intensively discussed in London, Paris and New York, where it is considered the initiative should best come from the Dominion, where bimetallism has not been a live political issue.
