BITTER ATTACK
CANADIAN LEADERS. Ottawa, July IS. ‘‘He acts like a dictator, and a disagreeable dictator at that!” thundred in tone of the utmost disgust Mr. Mackenzie King (Leader of the Opposition) describing the ■ Prime Minister" (Mr. R. B. Bennett). Then for five minutes Mr. King rated Mr. Bennett, accusing him of rudeness and lack of consideration for the convenience of members of the House. “I’m speaking very plainly!” exclaimed the Opposition leader, concluding a lecture that left the House of Commons gasping. Every eye turned on Mr. Bennett wondering what snappy reply would come. Mr. Bennett rose to his feet leisurely. He uttered one word, “Twentyone,” and resumed his seat. Twenty-” one was the number of the Bill next on the order of business. After a moment’s silence the House broke into riotous laughter.
