COLD, SOUTHERLY WEATHER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will be cloudy and unsettled with rain probable, especially over the North Island. Strong southerlies and cold temperatures are likely during the week-end. Deep westerly depressions continue to cross New Zealand but the pressure is now rising in Eastern Australia, an intense anticyclone being centred in the Australian Bight. Westerly winds will prevail and freshen, backing later to south-west. Seas will be smooth to moderate, but later rising on the west coast. SHIPPING MOVEMENTS. Auckland, July 30.—Arrived: Morinda, 6.40 a.m., from Norfolk Island; Alonowai, 1.10 p.m., from Wellington. Sailed: Alatakana, 7.20 a.m., for Wellington; Canopus, 2.30 p.m., for Westport.
