£29 FOR TURUTURU-AIOKAI WORK. TOURIST LEAGUE GRANT DROPPED (By Wire—iprliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, Last Night. In the Estimates the sum of £306 (on account) is provided as compensation to Alaoris for confiscated Taranaki, lands. No subsidy is being granted this year to the New Plymouth Tourist and Expansion League. A grant of £29 is made to the Hawera Borough Council for the planting of trees on the Turuturu-Alokai reserve.
