Players unable to make the trip have been instructed to advise Mr. V. F. Winter, Mahaia; immediately. SOUTH ELEVEN DEFEAT NORTH. . TOOK CHARGE FROM START. The hockey trial match, South v. North, was played at Eltham on Wednesday and resulted in an overwhelming defeat of the north team by five goals to nil. South forwards took charge from the start and Windle eent in a hot shot to beat Darkey Bennett. It was a case of how many goals South would win by. The forward work of the south team was a treat to watch. The whole team did excellent work.
