CARDS IN NEW PLYMOUTH
MATCHES AT FIRE STATION. A cards match played at the New Plymouth fire station last night between outside and inside members of the brigade was won by the outsiders by one point. The teams were even in the crib game but the insiders were one down in the 500. The scores, outsiders mentioned first, are:— Crib. —McLeod and' Remington 7 v. J. Inch and H. Inch 9; Schultz and Higgs 9 v. Roberts and Courtenay 7. 500.—J. Roch and Duffill 2 v. W. Roch and Doughty 5; Whiting and Williams 7 v. Hartley and Way 1; Kivell and Gile 4 v. Sadler and Goodwin 3; Sole and Blincoe 2 v. Ford and Woodhead 5.
