FARMERS’ COMPETITIONS
JUDGING IN HUIRANGI DISTRICT. Judging in the Huirangi district in connection with the farmers’ competitions was continued yesterday by Messrs. J. M. .Smith and C. Haynes. The quality of the entries was generally high, but there was a tendency for late cutting, and through this fault many points were lost. Mr. Buddon’s two pits, one concrete, were outstanding among the ensilage entries, and were only a point or two behind the leading pits in North Taranaki. The judges and visitors were entertained at lunch at the Hpirangi hall, a committee of ladies convened by Mrs. W. Hall being responsible for the arrangements; Details of. the-judging are: Stack Ensilage.
