TARANAKI TO PLAY WANGANUI.

The Taranaki A Rugby team will play,.the return match against Wanganui 'A at Pukekura Park, New Plymouth, on; ■Saturday,, whilst the B team visit Wanganui. After seeing the rearguard in action against Southland the selector (Mr. W. A. Guy) has not interfered with the combination. The only alteration is the inclusion of N. Hunter, who was urtbale to lay in the last match. He replaces J. Crawford. In the forwards the only alteration is in the hookers. Gargan, who was injured, is not available, and I. Crawford has been placed in the B team, their places being filled by the return of J. Young (Stratford) and the inclusion of Corney (Inglewood). All will be pleased to see the Inglewood man given his trial, as he plays a dashing game and is also a good hooker. • : The team differs considerably from that which beat Wanganui'by 17 points to 9 earlier in the season. ’ Watson goes in to centre from wing-three-quarter and is replaced on the wing by Jones (Clifton). Hunter• retains his place on the other wing. Fookes has replaced Galbraith at second five-eighth, whilst 'Peterson is first five-eighth in place of Owen. Guy is now rover in place of 'Bourke, whilst the front row men, Robinson and Gargan, both bn the injured list, are replaced by J. Young and Corney. R. Lusk (Opunake) has gone into the serum in place of McLean (Clifton). The Wanganui team has been considerably strengthened. Narby replaces D. Thompson as full-back and Downs replaces Blakeway on the wing. Morgan, who played half, replaces Plank as first five-eighth and Duncan goes in at half. Walden is again rover, but Waters is the only other forward to retain his place. Tasker and Glenn go up from the B team, whilst Lockett, Mc-v Intyre, Heise and Charles fill the other places. The Taranaki B team has been considerably altered from that which played at New Plymouth on June 3. Jonas, the Clifton wing three-quarter, and Tui Robinson, the Okaiawa first five-eighth, are the only backs to retain their places. Hunt replaces Priar as full-back, McCallum (Ckaiawa) replaces J. Crawford as centre, and Hamilton (Stratford) replaces Bly th (Athletic) on the other wing. C. Brown (Tukapa) and Kinsella (Star) take the places of R. — yhaia and C. Hohaia (Opunake) as half and second five-eigth. Twist (Kaponga) retains hie place as rover, while in the forward© L. Robinson replaces J. Young as hooker, the latter having gone back to the A team, and O’Dowda- (Tukapa) and Richards (Patea) replace Lusk (Opunake), who has gone into the A team, and Drader, who is emergency for the A team.
