PENSIONED SOLDIERS’ RELIEF
LIMIT TO UNEMPLOYED PAY. By Telegraph.—Press- Association. Hastings, Last Night. When it was pointed out at a meeting of the local unemployment committee to-night that returned Soldiers with a pension could not under the Act earn more oh relief work than * would bring the earnings, with a pension, to a maximum of £2 16s a week, one member remarked that he was uiidet . the impression that the soldiers’ pensions were inalienable. “The Government is Ukirtg it out of the poor old digger already,” he added.
