Wellington, Last Night. The weather will bo unsettled, dull and misty, with rain developing in most districts and some heavy falls , from Marlborough and Nelson northwards. Temperatures will become cold in the South Island. A slight westerly depression crossed the Dominion to-day. A considerable rise in pressure has taken place over Tasmania, but a vigorous cyclone is now centred oft the New South Wales coast. Strong north-easterly to northerly winds are probable north of Kawhia and Napief; elsewhere westerlies backing to southerlies and freshening. Seas will be rough about Cook and Foveaux Straits; elsewhere moderate, but later rising.generally.
