DOMINION MEETING OPENED. HAWERA COMPETITOR’S SUCCESS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hamilton, Last Night. The Dominion gun shooting championships opened at Hamilton to-day in ideal weather. Sportsmen from all over New Zealand were present .for the occasion. . In the, open clay bird handicap of 58 competitors F. E. Cox (Taumarunui) 15yds, W. O’Brien (Hawera) I'lyds, and A. Aitken (Morrinsville) 12yds, shot the possible, 24 birds, and divided the stake.
