ATTACK MADE ON FRANCE

“BUILDING WAR MACHINE” MR, HEARST’S STRONG TERMS HOOVER PLAN CONDEMNED “PLUNDERING OF AMERICA” By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 7.15 p.m. Loudon, June 24. The American newspaper owner, Mr. W. R. Hearst, who is at present in London, made a remarkable attack on France on the front page of the Daily Express to-day. Ho prefaced the article by denouncing. President Hoover’s proposal and pledging his newspapers to unending opposition to the plan "to plunder the American people.” Mr. Hearst says France is piling up gold until she has more per capita than any other nation. "France,” he says, "does not cancel her debts nor pay any using money thus misappropriated for building up a gigantic war machine. There will be no peace in Europe until France is compelled to cease creating wars. "France should be hailed before the high court of the world and bound over to keep the peace or suffer the violent consequences of those who live by the sword,” concludes Mr. Hearst.
