OAIEO NOW AT AWAPUNL

(By

“Moturoa.”)

The New Plymouth tracks were very quiet on Saturday morning. Gibraltar and Miss Chatter were the only ones to gallop, but were not extended to cover three furlongs in 40see. The Silverado filly Glowlight, who has crown considerably in the past few weeks, hit out freely in a sprint up the straight. Little Doubt.looks none the worse tor his racing at Ellerslie ’ and To Rapa. He will next race at Trerithajn. March Alone and Cornerman both look well and they worked freely over a circuit at a good three-quarter pace. Among those exercised were Oiapai, Lady Qucx, Royal Finance, Kaimiro, Merry Way, Gold Dawn and Glen Vane. Gold Dawn, who looks as lit as anythin<r on the New Plymouth tracks, may be schooled this morning if a hurdle horseman can be secured. Singer, who wa.i schooled last Tuesday, was at the hunt on Saturday, and though he jumped extravagantly shaped well over a few obstacles. Waitaunaha and Moerangi were both jumpinw proficiently at the. hunt, but has wintered as well as expected. ' Queen Agnes, a three-year-old filly by Antagonist from Sage Queen, has been jumpimr remarkably well at the hunts and is° marked off to do better next season. However, she is not very big. Omeo Goes Nap. Air. Addie Lilc sent the Quarantine ’chaser Omeo to Awapuni on Tuesday and he will be prepared by ‘ Doc. Knapp for the Nationals. Omeo has been an inmate of Rustique Lodge ever since lie left the hunting field less than two years ago and he has more than paid his way. Trainer W. Alantle selected Omeo for Air. Lil n to purchase and heproved a cheap proposition at £lOO. It looks as if Mr. Lile has gone “nap” on Billy Alantle.
