COLD, FINE WEATHER.

By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Further showers are probable in eastern districts between Cape Palliser and East Cape, otherwise the weather will be fine and cold at -night with many frosts, but temperatures will be milder to-morrow. An anti-cyclone is moving on to the Dominion and a moderate depression is centred just cast of Bass Strait. Winds will be southerly in and north of Cook Strait and still strong between Napier and East Cape, but elsewhere moderate and deci casing everywhere. Variable winds may be expected over the South Island, with northerlies prevailing and extending tomorrow to Cook Strait. Seas will be still rough between Cape Campbell and East Cape and about Cook Strait, but decreasing elsewhere.
