VICTORY FOR COUNTRY PARTY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. • ; Sydney, June 19. The Upper Hunter by-election resulted in a win for Mr. Alalcolm Brown (Independent Country Party). Mr. A. AlcMullen (Nationalist) polled over 1100 more primary votes than Air. Brown, but the latter secured 90 per cent, of the second preferences of the Labour candidate, Mr. Forsyth.
