The international tourist trophy, race on the Isle.of Man for lightweight motor, cycles with engines under 250 c.c. was won by Graham Walker, whose average speed, was GS.9S miles an hour. Tyrell Smith finished second and alellors third. Forty-two etarteds. The foreign machines seemed outclassed. The Italian crack rider Ghersi .came in sixth but he was riding a British cycle.' The little engines with their diameter no bigger than a wine-glass stood the race with astonishing efficiency.
