RETURN OF CONFIDENCE

BANK MANAGER’S HOPE PLEA FOR ECONOMY SCHEME BUDGET BALANCE BY 1934 MESSAGE TO BUSINESS MEN By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Rec. 7.25 p.m. Sydney, June 15. Addressing the Constitutional Association, Mr. A. C. Davidson, general manager of the Bank of New South Waite, expressed the opinion to-day that if the Melbourne conference’s retrenchment plans were carried out faithfully the Budgets should be balanced in 1934. Business men, he said, should be able to plan almost immediately for a return of confidence. “The chance may come slowly, but I urge business men to hang on,” Mr. Davidson said. “You will be surprised with what ease and trifling disturbance it can be done. You may object to this or that but I appeal to you to keep the whole economy plan together and to encourage your friends to take up their share of the good work; and all will come right much sooner than you expect.”,
