Having exhaustively considered the suggestion that all clubs and othci societies occupying New ..Plymouth borough reserves as playing areas should be called upon to pay rentals equivalent to tfhe rates which would be payable on the areas if they- were privately owned, the finance committee of the New Plymouth borough council recommended last night that the suggestion be adopted. Several members of the council thought, -however, that no action should be taken until the matter was very carefully investigated, and accordings consideration was deferred.
