CHICHESTER HAS A BEARD
GUEST ON AIRCRAFT-CARRIER. REFUSAL TO BE INTERVIEWED. By Telerraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Sydney, June 13. Efforts to interview the airman Mr, F. C. Chichester on board the aircraftcarrier Albatross have been unavailing. “I do not wish to be discourteous? he told an officer who tried to bring him in touch with pressmen. “I will not see reporters. I have done nothing to make a song about, and I do not like publicity.” Hols the guest of the captain. It is unSerstood that Chichester told the officers that the visibility on the hop from Lord Howe Island was bad and that he at times was flying within a few feet of the sea. The wind was unfavourable and the magneto gaye trouble.. He is weitring a black, bushy beard and'says that there are more important things to do than to shave. He is believed to be looking in the direc-: tion of Japan for the next hop.
