CENTRAL CROQUET CLUB
MEMBERS’ ANNUAL MEETING. ,
The-annual meeting of the Central Croquet Club, New Plymouth, was held on Tuesday, Mrs. Ewing presiding over a good attendance. The report and balance-sheet showed that the season had been a most successful and pleasant one. The thanks of the club were extended to Mr. T. Horton for his splendid gift of a shelter on the croquet lawns, to Messrs. W. L. Thompson and R. Ford for the donation of a most useful gift of locke- -i and mallet stand, and to Messrs. C. Mace and J. Rowlands for painting of hoops and a gift of plants. The club took part in the Pellew Shield, .Bennett Cup and inter-club matches. Congratulations were extended to Mrs. J. Drake upon winning the New Zealand Croquet Council’s silver B button. The following were elected officebearers: President, Mrs. Ewing; ''icepresidents, Mesdames A. Black and I'. Tribe; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mrs F. Carter; committee,. Mesdames Drake, Ford, Turner and Mies Putt; match committee, Mesdames Ford, Tait and West; tea committee, Mesdames Turner (convener), F. Bellringer, West and Clare; delegates, Mesdames Morris, Ewing and H. Smart. —-■ ~1
