KAIMATA NEWS

(From Our Own Correspondent.) The Kaimata Card Club held another of the fortnightly euchre parties on Tuesday evening. It proved a great success, there 'being 17 tables occupied. The prizewinners were Miss SI. Wellington (13J games) 1 and Miss SI. Morratti (13 games) 2; Sir. D. Bracegirdle (13 games) 1, and Sir. E. Bocock (13 games) 2. Mr. Bracegirdle won the play-off. The consolation prizes were awarded to Miss F. Sliddlemiss and Sir. F. Worthington. On Tuesday afternoon a very enjoyable kitchen tea was held at Mrs. _J. Klenner’s residence in honour of Sliss Ellen Klenner’s approaching marriage. The- Inglewood Ladies’ Hockey Club on Thursday last had a most enjoyable dance in the Kaimata Hall. The novelty dances were won by Sliss D. Bishop and Sir. L. Jordan (Lucky Spot fox-trot) and Mr. S. H. Crowhurst and partner (Slonte Carlo waltz). Slartin’s Orchestra supplied the music. The Kaimata Dairy Company has sold its winter butter supply for 12-Jd per lb.

Mr. E. Bocock is spending a holiday at Hawera.

Sliss Elma Knofl'lock has returned home after a holiday at Auckland and Hamilton.

Slisses Lorna and Rita Trass are on holiday at Sfasterton. Mrs. J. Rowe, Auckland, is the guest of her daughter, Sire. Tlieo Knofflock, Kaimata.
