ENGLISH WHITSUN HOLIDAY
SEASONAL EVENTS SUCCESSFUL. British Wireless. Rec. 5.5 p.m. . .Rugby, W 25. The Whitsun holiday opened with bad weather but ideal conditions obtained today over London and most of England. Despite rain 20,000 visitors went to the opening yesterday of the new open air zoological gardens at Whipsnade, about 30 miles north of London. The usual London cart horse parade took place at Regent’s Park, where nearly SOO horses were on show.
