700 HOUSES DESTROYED
FIRE DISASTER IN JAPAN ESTIMATED LOSS £5,000,000 DEATH ROLL NOT KNOWN — By Telegraph—Preta Assn. —Copyright. Rec. 10.30 p.m. Tokyo, May 7: The Yamanaka hot springs resort was wiped out by fire this morning, and the loss is estimated at £5,000,000. Over 700 dwellings and 30 hotels were destroyed. It is feared there is a considerable death-roll which has not yet been reported.
