WORLD TITLE LOST ON FOUL.
FRENCHMAN GIVEN DECISION.
Strangler Lewis lost the world’s heavyweight wrestling title because he bit his French opponent, Jlenri Deglare. A huge crowd' saw Lewis apply three crushing headlocks. The Frenchman turned the tables with a flying mare and secured a fall. Lewis later secured a fall, but Deglare displayed a bleeding arm with teeth marks on it, and was awarded the match and the title On a foul.
