The men were wanted in connection .with terrorist conspiracies in the Punjab, i The police, after combing the city, tracked them to the gardens where they Were behind trees. They opened lire and the police replied, killing Jagdish and setiouply injuring Sukdevraj. A reward of £2BO had been offered for the arrest of the latter.
