WELL-KNOWN COASTAL STEAMER CATCHES FIRE.—The Union Steam Ship Company’s coastal vessel Opihi, which caught fire on Thursday when about twenty miles south of Akaroa. The vessel raced for Lyttelton, where firefighting appliances were used and the fire extinguished.
