SEARCH FOR MISSING MAN

EXPEDITION TO ARCTIC ICECAP. FAMOUS SWEDISH PILOT- LEAVES By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. /Stockholm, April 27. The famous pilot Captain Ahrenberg is leaving in a Junker amphibian plane in an attempt to locate Mr. Augustine Courtauld, who is missing on the icecap. One of the greatest difficulties will be in obtaining petrol supplies in Greenland. It is pointed out that only one other has succeeded in wintering on the icecap in Greenland. The leader of the British Arctic air route expedition, which is in Greenland, telegraphed that the weather was preventing the party which was dispatched last month to relieve the central station on the icecap from locating it. In consequence considerable anxiety was felt for the safety of Courtauld, who volunteered to man the station alone during the winter. A stronger relief party under Mr. Watkins hoped to reach the icecap before the end of April.
